ELIGIBILITY

General eligibility requirements:

• Be without a job and looking for one;
• Have the need to update one’s professional knowledge and to acquire experience in one’s field of work;
• Have the expertise (training or sufficient experience) for the desired position;
• Demonstrate autonomy, be motivated and want to work as part of a team;
• Have been over with full time studies for at least 24 months.

TO WHOM THIS TRAINING IS MEANT?

To people:

• with recent experience but outdated knowledge;
• without a job for a long time but still having expertise;
• with recent training but little or no experience in their field;
• wishing to slightly modify their career orientation;
• new immigrants.

DURATION

The participation could last up to 13 weeks or according to the agreement with Emploi-Québec.

A big part of the time is spent on improving knowledge and skills and the acquisition of a practical and professional experience. About 20% is dedicated to the active job search. Also, 20% of the time is used for business English; in some cases it can reach 60%. However, as soon as they found the job they sought, the participants leave the Practice Firm.
